This article covers how to connect to an Apple TV or an Airserver from either a laptop or iOS device and also troubleshooting display and connection errors.
Airplay from a laptop
Step 1: Click the display icon in the menu bar then select the Apple TV you would like to connect to. The name of the Apple TV/Airserver will be the room name or number you are in.
Step 2: You will be prompted to enter a passcode - this passcode will displayed on the projected image. The code is randomly set by the Apple TV and will differ with each session.
Step 3: Your Apple TV will now be connected and should show as the following.
Please note: The screen should mirror the laptop display. If it does not and you would like it to, please see Mirroring help article: Screen Mirroring
Airplay from an iPad or other iOS device
Step 1: Swipe up from the bottom of the iPad to access he control bar and Select "Screen Mirroring"
Step 2 : Once you have selected "Screen Mirroring" you can select the Apple TV you wish to connect to.
Step 3 : Enter the onscreen code displayed by your Apple TV
Troubleshooting
If the Apple TV is not displaying on the Projector please ensure the Projector is on the correct input
If the Apple TV does not display on the list of available devices you may need to scroll down to view the full list.
Due to copyright limitations , DVD's cannot be Mirrored via AirPlay to an Apple TV - Video's stored on Estream can be Airplayed successfully
If the Apple TV remote is un-responsive in controlling the Apple TV, please ensure the controller is charged. The remote can be charged using the same charger as an iPad. You can check the battery status of a responsive controller on the Apple TV by clicking Settings the Remotes & Devices.
